Indie Royale Bundle launches loyalty scheme

A total of fifteen Indie Royale bundles have been offered since its debut in October 2011. Those who accumulate a total of five bundle purchases receive the retro-style Chiptopia album, those passing ten get the Asteroids-style Super Space Rubbish and its OST, while those on fifteen can snag RadianGames' Fireball.

The Collection also acts as a management tool for the various authorization keys for bundled games, while users can petition the Royale rulers for re-releases of previous bundles.

Like the Humble Indie Bundle promotion that started in May 2010, the regular Indie Royale Bundles gather a clutch of independently developed games. Bargain prices ensure a good deal for consumers while high volume sales and exposure benefit developers.

While both bundles sport similar mechanics, those who beat the average payment on Indie Royale help drive the minimum price for other buyers; the Humble Bundle, by contrast, allows fans to split their payment between developers, site admins, and charitable causes, while throwing bonus games into the pot for those who stump up extra funds to beat the average.
