Harry Potter to make fresh Kinect attempt

Quidditch matches, pixie battles and wizardly duels are promised, with mini-games, scenes from the stories, and cooperative multiplayer also on the cards.

Warner Bros has switched developers for this latest game, with Eurocom taking the reigns, and the game is currently dated for fall 2012, narrowing its release to August, September or October.

Harry Potter's ten-year run at the cinema finished with 2011's Deathly Hallows - Part 2. Its Xbox 360 game was compatible with the Kinect but did not make it a mandatory requirement as this new effort does.

Among this year's blockbusters with video game adaptations on the way are Disney's Brave, The Amazing Spider-Man, and Ice Age: Continental Drift.
