DC Comics' superhero fighting game 'Injustice' to land April 2013

The studio behind Mortal Kombat chose the Tokyo Game Show to announce April as the target launch month for DC Comics fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us, supporting the news with a trailer and a selection of screenshots.

NetherRealm's game features a stable of over 20 DC Comics heroes and villains, nine of whom have been revealed.

Those ennead characters are Batman, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Flash and Nightwing, while the more obvious enemies of Batman and Superman remain unconfirmed.

The April 2013 date means that it will follow genre buddy Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, which will be on the shelves by the end of March 2013, and arena beat 'em up Anarchy Reigns, which is lumbering towards an international March release after receiving a slew of favorable reviews for the June 2012 Japanese version.
